I watched this video for precisely what it represented… another perspective and to remember all the souls lost that day. Your comments however, are totally rude and unappreciated. Most of us like you yanks, but not because you are better people, you should grow up and pull your head in on that view point. Your young men die because the stupid right can't see that they cant win this type of war. From my point of view it make no difference if it is Russia or the USA you are both the same. Must have hit a cord with the right wing. The domino theory is the principal reason you sent sooooo many young men to die in Vetnam. The silly right wanted to stay (just like now in the middle east) because they thought the reds would come on down through to Aus and NZ and then onto the USA. When you were forced to leave, what happened? Nothing. You are in a war you can not win, but you are to stupid to see that. When you leave you will leave your enemies behind and you will make many more friends. The men at the top whos names you quote, only made the final decision like all your leaders someone else pulled their strings.

they only made the decision and someone else pulled the strings... so? They were democrats, liberals, making the decision to go to war and we entered Vietnam under Lyndon Johnson a very, very liberal president who initiated rapid and deep social reform in the south.

What a joke. Nothing happened? 1 million South Vietnamese were killed in the fall and occupation of the Communists. The power tilted and South-East Asia fell to Communism, Laos and Cambodia also fell to Communism and in Cambodia, Pol Pot killed every 1/3 people... I never said the domino theory was correct, i said it stayed true in that respect.

There is one type of war you cannot win and it is not rhetoric or political, it is in military terms. If you have no strategy then your tactics can be amazing and your troops dedicated but it becomes short-lived and not collective. This is what we saw for years in Vietnam where guys in Washington and Chicago really didn't know much as to what they were doing and the strategy seemed to change every other month. The only real consistent strategy was to kill, and kill a lot of them... in other words, a purely attritional conflict.

For the first 20 months of the occupation, we had no strategy in Iraq. As described by a lot of people on the ground, each area of operations was like its own war. The American military had basically un-learned everything it learned in Vietnam and actually there was a kind of feeling after Vietnam that we wouldn't face an insurgency again and so our men were trained in conveontinal doctrine. So, we had guys thinking firepower was the solution and commanders sweeping entire areas of men 16-60 and sending all of them to abu gahraib where, because of lack of intelligence(another fundamental necessity for counter-insurgency) General Sanchez had approved of 29 different "enhanced" interrogation techniques not normally used by the army, 10 of which were dropped by the pentagon as being "overly agressive".

My point is, theres not such thing as a war you cannot win. We have fixed our mistakes and Petraus had done beautifully as he did in the initial occupation as head of the 101st airborne(major reason north, in places like mosul, were restive). Change the wrong people, change the wrong tactics/strategy, and fix your mistakes... we will win this war

There has NOT been an attack on American soil since 911 due to the STRONG Bush actions and policies against terrorist in Iraq, Afganistan and the around the world. well its easy to do that when you are one of the guys behind the attacks..I cannot see for the life of me why people ignore the facts in front of our face's..i ignored them for years but im done protecting our Government from Americans and now will side for Americans against our Government,this is 100% our Government's doing.

the invasion of iraq happend after this event and this event was the reason america and british co-allision, (including france, germany and some others in smaller quantities) went to war, not the other way around,
over 3000 inocent people died that day all over america in these attacks,
this was a planned attack on the western world, not a conspiracy and certanly not because we attacked iraq,
