I have quiet a few crystals of many shapes an sizes. I watched this vid and guess what? It's not really that hard to do.
My crystal attempt was with a smaller one than in the vid, but it can be done, and I'm sure with practice you could amp up the size's.

For those of you that can't do a frame by analysis of videos allow me to surmise. This is totally fake. The alleged crystal pops into view in a stable form in 1 frame skips a frame then reappears.
